problem with Macros in Microsoft Office 04 to 08
3 Answers
A colleague has created an excel file with macros in Office 2004 and when I open the file in Office 2008 it doesnt give me the option to 'enable macros'. But says that Office 2008 Visual Basic Macros do not work and to open the file keeping macros click on 'Open'.
When I click on open - it says the "Macro "structure new.xls'!Macro" cannot be found.
Can anyone help?
How can I get the macros to work in whichever version of Excel the document is opened in?

the basic requirement is open the 2003 file
save as ... and select .xlsm (macro sheet)
see if it works - it's possible the code isn't compatible

I really must get my brain washed this week ....
it could well be - is looks like there is cross platform compatibility ... but yes but no but - seems it's not full compatibility just the microsoft version of compat.
given the problems with 2003 ->2007 I imagine that 2008 is going to be a bit of a mountain ... having said that ... I do do office .... but I don't do macs - I have no real experience of this particulat twist in the tale
