I'm Northern and never heard an accent like that - the accent reminds me of Georgina Hale in the One Foot in the Grave episode when Victor and Margaret stay in a seaside boarding house.

I watched this first time round and thought it was hilarious but couldn't bear to watch it again. If you thought Bernard was funny so far wait till tomorrow. At least I think it's the third episode where he throws a hissy fit. What a drama queen! He gets so jealous of Dawn.

I have only seen this for the first time this week, it is hilarious! Val's accent reminded me of Loyd Grossman with her drawling of her words. I could not believe that Dawn fell asleep because she was 'tired', too much wine more like! This lot rivalled my other favourite group shown last year. I cannot remember any names but two of the group were awful major food snobs and one was a bit of a likeable chav who was completely out of her depth within the group. The highlight of that one was when the chav got turned out of the food snobs house because she turned up too early! felt really sorry for her, she had to hang about outside until it got to the 'correct time' for the start of the dinner party and she was let back in again. If that had been done to me, I would have tipped a bottle of wine over the host's head and stormed out!
I love Come Dine With Me, they are essential viewing!

Sue -I have just finished watching last nights episode again and I was totally beyond myself laughing.

Pips posted on Monday to say it was her favourite CDWM and I have to say it was mine as well -Dawn was a star and she got away with it -even falling asleep at her own dinner party -I loved them all -best mix so far.

BTW -its on Channel 4 ATM (another one) you might want to record it lol
