Dislocated Finger
2 Answers
Very straightforward question - anyone had one, and how long to fully recover? I dislocated my left little finger 3 weeks ago, and had some complications which involved me requiring an operation to straighten it. My orthopaedic consultant seems happy with it, but then again he is the same guy who made a mistake (by his own admission) on dealing with a friend's broken arm and put his hands up (no pun intended) and said 'you should sue me!" I've got a very swollen pinkie that won't bend too well - any ideas on how long before it should ease up?

I vaguley remember my dad strapping it up and all depending on how quickly you heal generally you should be fine after 6 weeks, seems like a while but goes quick. If you had an op on it this may take a little longer though.
I had a dislocated finger when i was about 15, during PE my friend threw the basketball at me and it hit my left little finger and at first i thought nothing of it, then my PE teacher said it was dislocated and it hurt like hell. What was worse was that i write with my left hand. I had this nasty green/pruple bruise. It was nasty, it took about a few weeks for my finger to recover. But just let it heal itself really.
