My wife recons that if you strike a match it burns away the gas. Imagine my horror .. waking up at 3 in the morning faced with a mad woman striking away frantically at a box of swan vestas!!

I knew a woman who had been married for over 20 years & said she'd never farted in front of her hubby.

She said she'd hold it in or leave the room!

I do exactly like the woman who MWB knows, the reason? well it is a natural body function but it is also classed as rude, it does smell, and like someone has said you can stand your own... so out of respect, I consider others who may NOT like the smell of mine, so I hold it back until I can release it without damaging other people's airspace.

I also don't like to go into a toilet where someone has just been and left the evidence....
