I have a young lady come in once a week to help me with the housework (non domestic goddess that I am). She has been with me for 6 months and I wouldn't be without her. She is getting married in two weeks time and I would really like to get her a small something to mark the occasion and as a gesture of thanks. I feel money is impersonal and lacks thought - plus she has two little boys and I suspect she would spend it on them anyway. Can anyone suggest a nice small token gift? I was thinking a couple of bottles of fizz, but I just don't know.

Good point Cath. I do make a point of never talking to anyone under the age of 18!

Mind you, when I am on holiday the couple who have the baby have asked me to babysit one night so they can have a night out. IF she goes to bed at 7pm I might consider it.
She might do - my boys are always in bed by 7pm and asleep by 7.10 - failing that dust bin bag up to the neck - can't move, can't really do much!!
I got my Mum's hairdresser a beautiful bevelled edged photo frame from BHS for a wedding present - a large size one for her wedding photo. It was really beautiful.
