zzxxee lol it is Ayr,i have been to most of the islands, Sky, Arran, and Mull are popular and very nice, but if the weather is bad then they can be very vicious places as well

i can imagine apparently you can stay on the island they used in bbc 1 castaway programme was going to goggle it but not sure of the name

zzxxee - I agree with Steg. I have had some wonderful times on the Scottish islands and the weather has largely been kind to me. I think both Mull and Skye are stunning. But my goodness when the weather turns it is truly awful.

I'm off up there myself a week tomorrow!! (Albeit not to the islands, to a friend's farm near Oban). Can't blummin wait.
