I thought it would be a good idea to put a cat flap in my french door. It is double glazed and the quotes I have had so far average about 175! Can this be done any cheaper? TIA

This really is not a good idea.
I cannot think of a way of doing this other than having a special DGU made in a factory, with the rectangle for the CF incorporated. Then come on site and change-over the whole thing.
Sorry, but just not worth it.
Do you have a shed where you could put a cat flap in so your cat had somewhere to go. People I know that have cat flaps into the house are always complaining about dead and live mice etc. being brought in plus visiting cats.

Thank you both. I didn't even think of my shed! Might be worth try and would be cheaper.
It was cheaper for us to have someone cut a hole in the wall of our conservatory than to go through the french door. Is there an available wall? We had a short piece of piping put through the thickness of the wall with the cat flap pieces either end, works a treat!
