You need to bear in mind that the old adage "one man's meat is another's poison" is very true of perfumes. What suits one can be vile to another. Having said that I can recommend Rosselini's My Manifesto as being gentle, clean smelling and very long lasting, but expensive.
I love Davidoff Cool Water, it is a very clean smell that is not floral. If you find it too powerful, the summer limited edition is nice too, with a fruity twist.
Musky perfumes would be perfect if you don't like flowery ones. My sister always wears Flowers by Kenzo and to me it smells like cats pee. I wear Jean Paul Gaultier Original for women (the orangey looking bottle) and am always asked what it is. It is quite heavy so is best for evening wear. Euphoria by Calvin Kein is GORGEOUS musky deep tones not too heavy so can be worn during the day.
