a gait test is a test of balance in someone to assess their ability to walk:

hi thanks all of you - sorry i took a while to reply. had to get back to work. Can't be chatting on ab too much at work (though i would if i could) :-) i'm ok ta dot. i've not been on AB much lately...unfortunately! with the weather so good if i amnot working i am outdoors...which is where i am going right now. Hubby is doing a BBQ for two. no cooking.
