Hi i want a portable MP3, to take on hols, i dont want to spend a fortune, but i want decent earphones and above all ease of use - as i am useless at technology. About 1gb would be ample. So can anyone send me in the right direction.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.ipod shuffle for about �79 is about 1Gb i think and they are the best and easiest to use and the earphones are great quality although mine broke after 6 months, but u can use any normal headphones on them. and if u have problems getting one try the apple site as my wife ordered me an apple ipod mini from them in december for xmas thinking she would have no chance and they actualy had 1000 of every colour available and received it within 4 days of ordering
Or a flash memory thingy. I've got a smaller (capacity) one and it couldn't be easier to use.

still though, i'd recommend an iPod shuffle. assuming you have either usb2 or firewire ports on your computer and run winXP or win2000, you'll have no problems.

The reason people say avoid the shuffle is because to doesn't have a display so you can't pick a particular song. I have one and don't have a problem with it, you can either pay them in a random order or create a playlist and listen to them in the order of the playlist.
At the end of the day they are all pretty much the same and the price difference comes from the size of memory.
