Wasn't sure in what section to ask this question so here goes anyway. I have just been accepted at university to do a degree but they need to see evidence of my O level results. Unfortunately I am nearly 50 years old and I took my exams in 1972. I have absolutely no idea what happened to the certificates, has anybody got any bright ideas as to how I can get copies? I'm not even sure what board it was! Cheers in anticipation

The university recognised that many 'mature' students perhaps cannot access, or even do not have, secondary school certificates and I had to write a paper as evidence that I had some academic ability and could string a couple of sentences together.
I suggest getting in touch with the admissions office and explaining the problem. I found that many universities have a slightly different approach to dealing with older students than those coming straight from school.
Good luck with your studies.
