Cash Passport

Has anyone used a cash passport abroad?

Im going to Canada in a few weeks and this is apparently a safer way than taking cash, just not sure if you can spend it in as many places? eg is it only good for large purchases but not a light lunch etc?

Im not well travelled so unsure of these things.

It should be good in anywhere that takes the credit card it purports to be. It can be used to get cash in ATMs for anywhere else.
