wi-fi aint working no more

Hi, we had my sons laptop connected via the router since xmas and it has always worked fine, This week its not working, the laptop is saying its connected to the router but no homepage comes up, just says cannot connect. The ps3 and the ipod touch is still connecting to the router so i think its a problem with the laptop. Any ideas? Cheers K x

I had the same problem today but I was connected by wire . After half an hour on the phone with BT trying settings I was told I had a virus . So I started running scans then thought ' I wonder if unplugging the router for 10 seconds & then plugging it back in would work ?'

Heh presto it did ! Might work ?

ok, this is getting stranger by the second, my usual homepage is msn. that aint coming up, just a page saying... internet explorer cannot display the webpage, or any other i type in, but its letting me sign into msn hotmail and conversate with others so the router and wi-fi are fine, why wont it let me open a webpage???? help plz. ur a clever lot im sure u will K x p.s im on another laptop hence managing to do this
