Hi,looking to do the rocky mountain train next year.Which is the best way to book this,flights included.

There is usually the option to do the Rocky Mountain tour as well from Calgary. This is usually shown as a 4 day overland tour and I think only 2 days are actually on the train...the other 2 are on a bus (but I could be wrong about that!). However, if it is 4 days total, its a long way to go for 4 days, so perhaps you might want to think about a 7 day Alaska cruise out of Vancouver as well. Most of the cruise lines do them.

I went by train from Vancouver to Bamf as a part of a tour with Page and Moy and I found the best views were on the left hand side of the train most of the time. Another train from north British Col. down to Vancouver is even more exciting as the track is cut out of the side of the canyon and you look way down to the river. In this case the best views are from the right hand side of the compartment. All in all it's a wonderful holiday.
