I believe that llamas spit, is this true.

And its worse than a simple spit - they reguritate their stomach contents. I have a vivid memory of a llama spitting at point blank range into my best friends face at a deer park in Wales 40 years ago - lovely!

Believe it or not people(at zoos,and animal parks) STILL stick their faces right up to the Llamas,and then get surprised when the animal spits on them!(and thanks to spinchimp,I now know just WHAT they spit! eugh.)

Can anyone confirm my feeling that the only Llama family member which doesn't spit is the Vicuna?
