I read them sometimes but on the whole I dont really believe them. If you think about what they say is soooo general that it could apply to anyone, regardless of sign. If they were more specific then maybe I would.
Total twaddle.

that is actually true that it does apply to everyone but it is a bit odd when it does happen to you for real!
I am leo and not really sure what leos are supposed to be like, will have to check out these books you can get!
I read my horoscope occasionally but never had any that were accurate.
I believe in the characteristics of my star-sign.. I am a Leo and Leo's are meant to be Proud, Lazy, Vain etc. I believe that things like that are true but reading the actual star-signs in the paper I'm not a believer in them. I think they are so taylored to fit into anyone's life in one way or another.. for example when we begin approching summer, the star-signs tend to say thing like 'A trip may be in store'..! Plus I think that when you read them you are looking out for things to fit in with what it said. Like you've said yours said you will fall in love and now you've met this guy... we meet people every day.. doesn't mean they are the loves of our lives.
I don't set much store by them - being born on December 21st, my star sign varies between being Capricorn or Saggitarius, depending on which magazine I read! So in my experience I haven't found it very accurate.

trouble 16, if it were true, it would mean that approximately one twelfth of all the people in the world are going to fall in love (eg every person who's the same star sign as you).

Also, did it say when you're going to fall in love (next week, next year, sometime during the next 50 years?) - because everybody falls in love sometime!

Sorry to sound cynical, but I think it's a load of tosh.

Andy Linda Goodman is excellent.  In light of your recent mischief with nicola (it's ok I accept defeat, she's younger than me!) maybe you should read Linda's Love Signs too!!

I'm a Taurean & although I don't live my life by it I'm very interested in astrology. Reading a few words in a newspaper everyday is never going to mean much, you need to have a personal chart done.  Jonathan Cainer is very good.

I don't believe in it at all. How could the date and time affect you, your personality, your life, the things that happen to you? Did everyone who was born on August 3rd really meet someone special that day? How could the position of stars and planets impact my personality and the outcome of events in my life? If it were true, wouldn't science have borne this out long ago? I just can't get into it.

Its a load of rubbish cashing in on peoples insecurities - but then I'm maybe I'm a sceptical Cancerian :)
Complete load of bull, how can generalisations be true for everyone, sure you might get a hit with  a few people, but i could write  one everyday and someone would say,he must have some psychic power to predict that for me
not in the least!!!!!! and i struggle to keep my cool with those who say they really do believe in star signs and star sign characteristics (the idea that if you are born under a certain star sign yo have those characteristics) yet say 'god! what a load of crap' how can you believe in stars controlling people but not there being a god! ridiculous! i dont believe in god myself im a man of science but i merely see the stars as what they are, suns in distanct galaxies and damn pretty to look at!
bear in mind that the constellations do not actually exist!
I think its a matter of opinion and if someone wants to believe in things like that then thats fine. I believe in the characteristics of them.
mine always comes true quite scary tbh but after past experients i never go against my hororscopes! x

There is a very interesting way to look at this - since it's impossible to be wrong all of the time, then astrology is going to be accurate some of the time, and hence trusted by some.  The general profiles, e.g. Scorpio, are uncannily true.
