My partner moved in with his father after he split from his previous partner - the house was repossessed. Will this effect his credit rating; he was not on any of the bills or even the council tax bill. Please answer ASAP as we are going to apply for a joint mortgage very soon. Thanx.

I would suggest that he contacts Equifax and Experian who will hold any relative information, if it exists, in their files. There will be a small fee to pay for the service.
