Our Triton electric shower has packed up, I have seen a fantastic offer at Focus who are selling a Triton for £50 reduced from £179.
The shower is available in 8.5kw, 9.5kw or 10.5kw.
Our cable from the fusebox to the shower is 6.0mm twin and earth, it runs right from the front of the house to the back via the loft so a very lengthy run.
What power of shower can I have?

If it is 6.0mm stick to having the 8,5 kw that is just about ok. if you go for the 10.5 you need to have a 10mm tw/e cable installed a very costly job that will also have to be certified to local council which means an electrician who is able to self certify works etc, keep it simple 8.5 is fine for a shower anyway. PS what else you need to consider is the cable and plumbing entries on the shower do the match exactly? they should do with it being the same make, but just check it out, sometimes they change positions of them.

Thanks Ray, I do like as powerful a shower as possible but i'm also a fan of the easy life so 8.5kw it is !

And your right about the connections, the water inlet and cable are all hidden under the tiling too which never helps.
