If the BNP can get the other parties that frightened, that some are now prepared to listen and address the problems attached to mass immigration, then they can't be all bad.

This is hardly news - the other parties have been saying this for a long time. Why do you think that this admission is caused by the BNP?
All the parties have come to acknowledge that uncontrolled immigration is a bad thing - Labour have already introduced a points based system for immigration.

Because it was only yesterday that he admitted it, that is why it is news.
///The Home Secretary admitted yesterday the Government had made serious mistakes over immigration///
///Why do you think that this admission is caused by the BNP? ///
Most fair reasoning person's openly admit that the rise in popularity of the right wing parties is because it seems they are the one's that listen to people's concerns regarding mass immigration.

Sorry, I meant the timing. The BNP have been increasing in membership for the last 5 years. As have the Green Party as have UKIP. Why are you attributing Alan Johnson's remarks made yesterday to the BNP. The Tory party have been campaigning for less immigration and a points based system for as long if not longer than the BNP.
Nick Griffin actually got less votes this time than the BNP got in his North West Constituency at the last Euro election in 2004.
The BNP got elected on less votes, not because of immigration but because the Labour vote completely collapsed because of MPs expenses and general dis-satification with the Government.
Griffin getting less votes does not really leave him well placed to claim any validation that what he says is resonating with more voters.

Ask the majority of the citizens of the UK, what is the most important issue that needs addressing and you will get the same answer, immigration.
This surprisingly enough it is not only from the indigenous population, it is also a major concern shown by the first and second generation of immigrants from Jamaica and the Indian sub continent.
Having said that it is only since we have had immigrants from Eastern Europe, that we have dared to criticise the immigration figures, could it be that it is because they have mainly white faces?
Asked on this mornings phone-in on LBC Radio, David Cameron said the British people don't seem to have an issue about immigrants from India or Africa, they only seem to show concern about immigration, since the huge influx of immigrants from Eastern Europe, most of whom are now leaving these shores.

Wrong. It's the economy stupid.
People are most concern with whether they will keep their job, get a job, whether they can afford a holiday next year. Whether the recession will be over, whether will get a pay rise, whether they can afford a new car.
The BNP do not have any answers to these questions other than their stock phrase 'kick out the immigrants'.

Most government ministers take more notice of the tabloids than the people that vote them in. Just think of recent stories where they have caved in. The problem of the Ghurkas comes to mind but there have been many other instances.
Maybe we should stop lobbying government but lobby the papers instead. Then they will take up the case.
