A couple of months ago I had a lot of pain in one of my shoulders. A few days of taking ibuprofen sorted it out. I now have a sensation in that area, feels a bit like sunburn, or pins being stuck in it. Can anyone offer an explantion? Thanks.

It might not be a shoulder injury, it could be referred pain from your stomach
http://anatomynotes.b...0/referred-pain.html. See your doc.

Blimey!!! Wasn't too worried before I read that.
Sorry, I didn't mean to panic you! My pal had that for ages and she wouldn't go to drs cos she was worried she had lung cancer (she's a chronic worrier) and I kept telling her about her stomach. She eventually went and was diagnosed with an ulcer, but if she'd gone earlier they would've done the test for helicobacter pylori and could've given antibiotics and antacids and she would've been fine, but she had left it too long. It could just be your shoulder though...
Woooow !!!!.....karen is quite correct, but let us put this in some sort of perspective.

Odds on being a local fibromuscular problem.....................2/1 on.

Odds on it being referred pain.................................200/1 against.
Burning and pins and needles suggests nerve pain to me.

Thanks for the replies. Should see a doctor really but keep thinking it will go as quickly as it came.
