What are the BBC thinking?

I'm no fan of your bandits but execution is a bit strong. I think they should have stayed right out of this one.

From the link.........
Mr Joyce is calling for the BBC to take the debate off its website altogether.
He told MPs in the House of Commons that there was something "badly wrong" if the BBC thought that the subject called for "even-handed discussion".
"I consider this to be a grave error," he said.
"The BBC knows who reads the website, they know who responds to it. They've engendered a debate about homosexuality in Britain, using taxpayers' money."
.............says it all really.

i agree with jno, if you open the link within the link to the debate which is now closed, you will note that it had set out to challenge a new bill being put forward in uganda which promoted the idea of execution for homosexuality. i see no harm in gauging public opinion as one would hope that most intelligent people would consider this is simply evil.
i believe most of the contention and disgust was aimed at the idiotic homophobes who posted sick and depraved answers, presumably their idea of 'fun'. the saddo's.
