yes ricky was a bit better, but was throughout. no real discernable change or improvement.
i didn't voite, but i wanted chris to win as he got better and better as it went along. its not really about popularity i don;t think, just recognition that he had worked hard and improved, ricky just stayed where he was all along.

Everhelpful agree Chris had massive support from his BBC colleagues, he did make great progress and was never in the dance off and he had a humourous outlook to it all but Ricky was still a better dancer I don't agree with some posters who think Ricky didn't have the passion, in his interviews he seemed dedicated to the show and Natalie. Still a great show and when these shows are open to the public voting we have to go along with democracy!!
I voted for Chris for much the same reason as I voted for Tom last year, because he brought more personality to the floor. As Alesha said, Ricky would have been better off doing more dance steps rather than lifts in the final dance, as he was the better dancer.
As for the 'race' card, I voted for Alesha and Mark, and also wanted Colin Jackson to win the year he was in.
