snow chains

We're thinking of getting some snow chains.
Trouble is the car is over 1/2 mile away down a very steep slope and therefore I can't look up the tyre size!
It's a ford fusion. What size tyre please?

Tyre chains on cars will ruin your tyres, better if you are rich to buy studded tyres.

Not rich so no studs. But some chains better than others.

Studded tyres are for long periods of thick ice not snow, there also illegal on clear roads.
