Brussell Sprout Bread & Rhubarb Bread

Does anyone have a recipe for Brussell Sprout Bread and a bread containing Rhubarb

I am sure I heard an item on Womens Hour a couple of years ago where they discussed recipes using sprouts and bread was one of them

are you sure it wasn't using breadcrumbs in with the sprouts? that seems to be a common theme

sounds awful.....Y not just sandwich some sprouts or rhubarb. If you mix it with dough it will taint the bread.

Brussell Sprouts bread? Never heard of it until now. Does it have a bitterish taste like brussell sprouts?

You can use most vegetables in a loaf or cake suitably grated and mixed in with other ingredients. I recently made some beetroot chocolate muffins and banana bread, which tends to be more of a cake. It you look at this courgette loaf recipe http://theenglishkitc...8/courgette-loaf.html and substitute sprouts for the courgette and you should have something edible - no guarantees on taste though....... Also look at parnip bread http://www.therecipec.../05/06/parsnip-bread/ --- you get the idea, ditto with Rhubarb

I've actually done that, Androcles. I use a banana bread recipe and sometimes substitute courgette or butternut quash or pumpkin or grated carrots. The loaf always comes out superb. I will give the vegetables a try, never thought of doing that.
