Your not really one year older. On your birthday you are one day older than the day before.

That just means 365 days a year to celebrate or the opposite!

Personally I will stick to one a year, good or not.

Happy birthday yesterday (+ an hour or so) Veritas, I seem to remember you saying your wife was in Belsen, my grandad (God rest his soul) marched into Belsen, I've just read Francine Christophe's account and am now reading Helene Berr's account of their time there the books are widely available and may be of interest tp yourselves.

I have a friend whose mother and late father were both at Auschwitz. She is now about 90 and is the most warm hearted but understated person I have have ever met.

Certainly also the deepest soul with "Steel" in her gaze.

There is about three or four of these ladies who all live in a retirement home in North Toronto and they can extract anything they want out of you with their charm.

Really lovely people.
