I'm sorry Mamyalynne closed down the thread about people who get answers saying "thank you" so quickly, because it is worth canvassing more views. Some months ago I posted an "innocent" question about the Parable of the Lepers. You know the story: Christ cured ten of them but only one came back to give thanks. I hoped that the penny would drop, and start an interesting thread on the matter of saying "ta". I'm sure we don't post answers for the thanks, but it is appreciated when it comes.

My own experience? I don't keep a list but I would say about 50/50. Better than the biblical experience!

it would be like water off a duck's back expecting some of them to say "Ta".
I must agree that I always appreciate it but don't post answers for that reason.
