My mum bought me the Revlon Double Twist mascara for Christmas as I had asked for one with a plastic brush and it was one of the more expensive ones so she thought it would be good (as did I). However, after several attempts I still haven't managed to apply it in a way that looks good, it clumps and my lashes stick together, I've tried wriggling the brush and twisting it the way it's apparently meant to be applied but this doesn't seem to help, it also feels very gloopy. Any recommendations on mascara that separates and thickens lashes would be much appreciated!

i use maybelline mascara and its brill!!!!! any of them in maybelline..... the mascara texture is brilliant and i shape my mascara brush the way i like it, just have to bend it a little and it gets to every little lash. hope this helps, otherwise use the one you have and apply then brush out the excess with a clean mascara brush let it dry and apply again....and so on until you get your desired effect.

tried that suzie, even tried blotting the brush as it just seemed to have too much on it, am v. disappointed as it looked so good! will have a look at the maybelline ones, your use of exclamation marks has convinced me lol!
i use a benefit mascara which is plum coloured and its the best i've ever used
Hypnose Drama by Lancome. However, it is always best to scrape some of the mascara off the wand if it is new, before applying to the lashes.
The only mascara that I've bought and really loved is Max Factor Masterpiece Max.

I find it really lengthens and thickens lashes and makes them really dramatic! I put about three layers on though!

My friend uses it too and was once asked which false eyelashes she uses!
Chanel Sculpte Cils - doesn't clog, and you can coat each & every lash as it's a very thin separated brush. I've tried all sorts - cos it aint cheap at around £20 - but I keep coming back to it.
