I have recently purchased a 2001vauxhall astra 1.6 8 valve.Having only covered 48,000 miles. The engine is suffering from milky oil under the oil filler cap,but the oil on the dip stick is clear and there is no excessive pressure or bubbles in the exspansion bottle.A couple of local garages say not to worry its just condensation.Has anyone had a similar problem or any thoughts. Cheers

Hi yes it probaly is condensation if the water is clear and the oil is clear, I would'nt worry yourself about it
is your temp guage working? if not its the thermostat stuck open Go to ebay and search "vauxhall thermostat fix" this will solve your problem, this can be very common.
