I have not moved around a lot during my time on Earth - holidays & travel yes, but I have always lived in the same county. But it's still weird how 2 of my previously owned cars (a little blue peugeot 205 & a big red peugeot 306 turbo) have traded owners since I've sold them - and have ended up being owned by 2 people in my same street.

I drive past both every day and think - that was mine,,,, that was mine....

Am I alone in this?

And does this qualify as the most boring title of a thread so far today?

I traded a car in to a dealer 30 miles away and it ended up with a new owner back in my town within weeks...
I used to 'do up' and sell cars a few years back and it's always nice to see them still running in good condition, especially the classic ones like the Opel Manta and a Toyota Celica Supra.
One that did make me sad was my old Rover being used to shove scrap cars round in a scrapyard !
I had a cavalier bought literally second hand. I loved it - roomy, powerful, pleasure to drive etc etc. Over the years though silly things went wrong that I either couldn't afford to fix or couldn't be bothered with. Things like having to glue the rear window up cos the mechanism had bust, the door locks going - just silly things like that. When I had a problem no one seemed to be able to solve (engine not idling, cutting out) I got rid. I sold it for a scrap price to a guy I knew. Long story short, it got pimped up big style, cleaned, fixed, alloys, etc etc, and cos it was local, I and others kept seeing it. People kept ommenting "ooh doesn't your old car look good" and it got on my nerves. Fortunately he's sold it on now.
