The little things that make you smile

When somebody holds open a door for me or pulls out my chair for me, I cant help but smile! What little things make you smile? No matter how small?

Strangers who smile at you in the street and people who still make an effort in shops and such.

After spending most of my life in a village and very small towns I've lived in a couple of big cities and love the way that the people at bus stops and in shops and food places I go in remember me and what I usually have (only have to walk into my local Greggs now for the lovely ladies in there to just smile at me and say "the usual") and have some lovely chats with them.

Certain songs make me smile too when they come on the radio:)

Mostly what's been said above, politeness too, holding doors etc...cheekiness (though of the nice sort), compliments and thank yous, all sorts of things.

If I think about it there are loads of things really! someone offering me thier seat on the tube ...  someone reading the same book me and we both clock it at the same time ...... coming home from work and having a glass of vino in the garden and noticing new flowers ..... small but nice.

Thoughtfullness makes me smile, like my partner making sure my toothbrush has toothpaste on it in the morning when I go in after him.
