Me again. I have found out quite a bit since I last posted. Annie Essler did kill herself in the river. It would appear that suicide runs in the family as her sister also killed herself, though I don't know when where or how. the reason I am posting is, she was Roman Catholic and because she killed herself she could not be buried on consecrated ground, .so what is unconsecrated ground. The way it was put to me by a RC person it was made to sound like the local tip. Have you any advice as to where to look? Thank again for all your help. Cas
She will be buried in a civic cemetary , contact the local counci's parks a cemetaryies dept and they will have a surname index and grave plan, some Churchyards did have a burial ground beyond the walls of the graveyard but not all.
cas i have been sent some info regarding Annie, from her sisters grandson, Herman died in 1912 , he committed suicide by hanging and was seperated from his family at the time of his death, if you email me i will forward his email to you.
