One, there can be no evidence that it was freddiew that posted the thread on yahoo and then removed it - and if they did why did they not say that it was theirs hours earlier when the yahoo thread was first mentioned?

Two, freddiew was looking for a hint - does that not suggest to you that they know that the setter does not want their quiz questions posted here, which is what the whole debate has been about?

Kakuro. On Wednesday you commented that AnswerBank were dishonest. Now you pick on an individual. How do you justify suggesting that freddiew is less than honest? Your actions certainly smell of ‘policing’. Maybe you would be better occupied by providing the evidence that lilsecret, on this thread, has twice asked for. Simply, proof that the quiz compiler has requested that entrants do not ask for answers on AnswerBank.

How is our Editor or anyone else able to determine which quiz a question is related to? Should ALL quiz questions be removed by the Editorial Team?

Well I have just been back through the last 25 or so "newsletters" that come back with the answers to the quiz, and not once can I find anything to say questions cannot be asked on this site. However, when I used to do the Great BRAIN Quiz, I do remember the question setter asking contestants not to ask for an outright answer. I ask for a HINT, firstly because, contrary to what some folk might think, I like to try and solve the questions on my own, but sometimes I do need a little help, secondly I think I am abiding by the quizmaster's wishes by NOT asking for an outright answer, and thirdly, I know if I do ask for an outright answer, then I will be set upon immediately by the Answerbank Police! I am always happy to give just a HINT to point anyone who asks in the right direction - assuming I have got the answer - and that it is correct - but sometimes I am confident my answer is OK and find out when I get my quiz sheet back that I was completely wrong! None of us is perfect and we all need a little help from time to time. Good luck with the quiz everyone.

Here's little old Tallulah! I was actually looking to see if kellee had asked the question that she spilled the answer for in Colossus before anyone had aked it
I found the answer to this GFQ question by simply googling Private Eye.......! etc. The first few entries were from cheats begging but it was easy to find from websites.
Certain entrants always cheat. Mostly in abletoknow. Sophocles detective are there every month. Quizmail closed because of the cheats and I expect GFQ nd GBQ will follow.
