Ovulation trouble!
4 Answers
We have been trying for a baby since last December. I came off the pill and didn't have a period until July. Since July I have been regular but my cycle is 36 days. This seems like a long cycle to me but seeing as its always been bang on 36 days I guess this must be normal for me. My friend to9ld me I would be ovulating around day 18 as thats mid cyce, then another friend told me you ovulate about 14 days prior to your period which would mean I ovulate around day 22. Who's right? Thank you!

Our son is now 3 weeks old and doing fine. My tip is don't pannic or stress over it. Relax and enjoy it. Our GP recons that many couples who get to the 'consultant' stage get pregnent before the appoint ment because they stop worring over it until they get to the appoint ment..... All the best. Hamish
I'd highly recommend the book Taking Charge of your Fertility. I actually use it for the opposite result! this organisation are very helpful too. http://www.fertilityuk.org
Basically
this method involves charting. You monitor your temperature and cervical mucous (a big indicator of when you are fertile) and cervical position. You soon learn when you are fertile. Your friends are wrong as you are all different and have different cycles. Stress, diet etc can all alter the length of your cycel and delay ovulation so you are best to just be aware of what is going on in your body and listen to the signs! good luck!
