Discrimination based on former employment

No it's not right but it is his right to employ who he wants, obviously a raving lentil cruncher but it's a free (ish) country!

But surely it's gotta be breaking some law somewhere.
Can you imagine if he used this justification to say I refuse to employ Serbians as some of their countrymen were war criminals. Or Germans.

ex-military are not classed as a "minority" group, so I doubt he's breaking any laws.

What about the company that supplies ASDA and will only employ poles. Some employers are getting away with murder

He will get his cumuppence, but not from a hand wringing labour party. I'm sure they would have a law up in days if it was some burka wearere that was stopped.

If the fire service and the ambulance service were to go on strike, and they got the army to take over these duties, as they have in the past.

Would he refuse to accept the armies help if his company was on fire, and he was trapped inside?
