Moving Holly Bush.
4 Answers
I want to move my medium sized holly bush to a more suitable position in my garden. Is it a difficult job or impossible? Is the root ball too large or fragile to move?

You may find that it has built up a fairly large root system so you would have to dig round the base in a wide circle and have a large sack/tarpaulin nearby so that you can drag, rather than lift it, to its new location.
Be sure to dig a deep hole in its new location before attempt to dig out the bush, and put some well rotted manure or compost in the base of the new hole. Move the bush as quickly as possible to avoid any roots drying out and keep it well watered for two or three weeks at least to help it get established again.
