how can i make some dumplings??
havin beef stew for tea--completely forgot dumpling mixture from shop which i normally buy!!!

Unless you have some beef suet you can't.

You should ask all your female friends if they have any great dumplings you can get your hands on.

Apart from that you could always Google for the recipe ;-)

Ah that is one solution.

http://allrecipes.co..../basic-dumplings.aspx seems to be suet free. I just wonder if you have no dumplings, would you have had the ingredients anyway ?

Suet is the soft fatty tissue found around the kidneys of ox, sheep &c and is used in making dumplings, roly-poly, spotted dick etc. The dumpling mix that you buy is merely a ready-made mixture of the ingredients.
