When me and Mr. Den were dating - it was a regular thing Sunday tea - I used to dread it - they had quite a lot of pets - who all seemed to have a disease of some kind of another. Handwashing was not on the agenda, we had salmon sandwiches every Sunday as Mr.Den got it knocked off from work. The place was so dirty and untidy Kim & Aggie would have been in their element.
Not really Jan - when my son was born, we had to do the 'visit' - she offered him a boiled sweet and then offered to warm his bottle up in the pan that was boiling on the stove with his Dad's socks in. I declined the offers of babysitting (:0(
She knitted me a bag of baby clothes for my son - one item was an orange jump suit - it was so big, I don't think it would fit him even now let alone for a newborn. Both legs faced left, so not wanting him to grow up with a deformity, I gave most of them away to the Oxfam shop - so some poor kid in Africa may now be walking with both feet facing left.
