Making changes on my laptop to Mozilla Firefox

I use Mozilla Firefox and when I open it, it has started showing a window saying :

'Do you want to allow the following programme (I presume this means Mozilla) to make changes to this computer'

I have a Windows 7 laptop.

Should I say Yes, and what does it mean ?

If that doesn't help, try reinstalling Firefox without uninstalling it first. (That usually fixes most problems with Firefox).

If that still doesn't work, uninstall Firefox and then reinstall it. (Uninstalling leaves your profile folder in place, so you should find that your bookmarks, etc are still there when you reinstall). That method worked here:
