There have been earthquakes and volcanoes ever since the world began. It's part of the cooling/contraction process. With all the modern high tech communication we are just hearing more about it. The latest dust cloud problem from Iceland makes me wonder why people are so obsessed with flying all over the place. Although most people understandably go through a phase in life of wanting to see the world, and many have to travel for business reasons, I can't help feeling that a lot of it is quite unnecessary. Tough luck for the airlines.
'A phase in life'-Why should you ever stop wanting to see the world? I don't think people are obsessed with air travel,it just makes unreachable places reachable and most people love holidays, especially to somewhere different from their home country!I am aware that it aint good for the environment but that's another topic.
It could be about to get a lot worse: http://www.huffington...d-a-2nd_b_541755.html
"The eruptions of the comparatively small Eyjafjallajökull glacier volcano in Iceland have historically preceded massive eruptions by the more feared Mount Katla. Experts are concerned that the present volcanic eruption could trigger activity at Mount Katla, which is potentially much more dangerous."
So this could well be just the start.
