re fond of awarding themselves mega pay and pension deals extended holidays..and us poor souls are flogged to death keeping them in their extravagent lifestyles and expense accounts..they pretend to give us something occasionally then crafty lot take it back asap..

SteveD - I often use the CIA factbook which is generally well researched and informative.  I am sure the Shetland Islanders will be grateful that their homes are considered part of the UK's land area.  Should we reciprocate by confirming that Hawaii is part of the US?  They also touch on a particular bee in my bonnet - that the Union Jack is the flag that dare not speak its name.

Essentially, however, The main parliament is in London, with National assemblies in Cardiff, Edinburgh and Ulster with varying degrees of effectiveness. Therefore England is the only country without a dedicated parliament.

All of this is irrelevant, since Brussels' European law takes precedence over British law anyway!
