Firefox & jumping screen

Can anyone help. I have bought a new computer which has had Mozilla Firefox installed. The problem is the screen seems to jump up & down. The toolbars stay still.

I've tried adjusting the properties > screen resolution - it makes no difference.

Also, the bookmarks & favourites have just disappeared.

Unless these problems are cured I shall be going back to Internet Explorer.

Are you saying it only jumps while you are running Firefox?

Uninstall firefox, and download the current version from the website.

Yes, I should have said the screen only jumps whilst using Firefox.

I've tried reinstalling the latest version but its still the same.

If I open a new window, the Google home page comes us and the picture is jumping. But then if I click on the Home page the jumping stops!

It does'nt jump on every page, it just seems intermittent.

So the actual internet page jumps, but Firefox's menus and toolbars stay still?

It only jumps up & down? Not left & right? It sounds like it is scrolling.

Look in the Advanced, General settings and have a play with the options.

You aren't a laptop, are you?

I think I've found the solution (been away on a course for a few days).

I think the solution is to go View > Toolbars > and make sure the Bookmarks Toolbar is unticked.

Seems to work up to now - fingers crossed.

hey guys i checked out the bookmarks an un-click it was the same jumping then i un-click Yahoo tool bar and it stop jumping , Just letting u know .By removing yahoo tool bar it seems that was it .
