Jersey doesn't require UK citizens to present a passport in order to enter the island:

However, if you're flying there, you'll need some sort of photographic ID for security purposes. Some airlines (e.g. easyJet, who operate to Jersey from LIverpool) will accept things like bus passes, whereas others will only accept a passport, a national identity card or possibly a driving licence. If you're unsure check the relevant airline's website or post again here, stating either the airline you'll be travelling with or the airport(s) you're considering travelling from.

Be advised that the UK has ended the reciprocal health cover arrangements with Jersey, such that your E111 card will not cover you for medical treatment in Jersey.

You would be well advised to have suitable insurance cover – or be prepared for a costly vacation.

We stopped using the E111 card in 2006

It's not just airlines, I travelled there by ferry last year and they required photo ID, not necessarily a passport (good job because I had picked up my son'e by mistake!)
