in my opinion if we have little in common, then we dont usually last long together. where as when i have something in common with a bird we stay together for ages.
warning, ignore all the above, my present bird has absolutely nothing in common with me, we´ve been together over 3 years now.

I've found a mix is always good. I like them to be female (which is opposite to me) and have a pulse (which is similar to me). Other than that, i'm not fussy ;-)
