my neighbor has removed my fence panel and resighted his gate post slightly nearer my side which i have no problem with
but he is appearing to want to relign my fencing to suit his resighted post as he has a string line
will I have to go to court to get an injunction to stop him if that is indeed his intention and how do I go about it
many thanks
Dave
If you allow him to do this then he will eventualy have a right over the land.
It may only be a few inches but that might be all he needs to get a planning application through. A few inches each time he moves a fence could be a couple of feet eventually!!
Have a look on gardenlaw.co.uk for more info on this sort of thing.
You both have to abide by your boundary line on the deeds I guess, if he is taking some of your land ask him how much he thinks it is worth and you will get a conveyancing solicitor on the case asap.

and the others, of course I have tried talking to him but he is a bully and believes that shouting is the only reply to reasonable speaking
many thanks Dave G
In that case just get a solicitors letter to him. Usually about £70.00 asking him to reinstate your fence where it was or face legal action. He has actually trespassed onto your land and interfered with your property. Don't just let it go otherwise he will take other liberties.
