When i open my IE6, it has started going to my default page (for about a second) and then immediately forwarding itself to the yahoo mail page. How can i stop it doing this? My default is still set to the correct page

Have you tried pressing Esc once the homepage as loaded. This will stop the browser trying to load the other page.
Is there no way I can stop it doing this altogether?
You could go over to Mozilla Firefox. Much more dependable.

Not an option dogsbody, i am using a work PC
Mmmmmm...... You could try downloading and running CWshredder to see if you have been hijacked. If you type coolwebsearch into Google, you'll be able to read all about it.
It sounds very much like a hijack. If you haven't been in this situation for too long, or haven't made too many system [not file] changes, AND, as it's a works pc, network admin won't give birth to a litter of kittens....

run system restore to get the settings back. Cheap cheerful, reliable.
