Is Sqad around this Am

Is it me being overconfident or more evidence of NHS direct being a waste of time I woke up with numbnessand tingling rt hand and a little extension of the tingling in to forearm,, and tried NHS direct webiste symptom checker and it tells me phone 999 as it indicates its a stroke... I think that it is a little excessive...I reckon most likely carpal tunnel... especially as I am sitting here typing this one handed as right is too tingly ...tried the press palms together thing didn't get worse but then it isn't coming and going
Should I be worried?

What a load of c0ck from NHS direct..............I agree rowan CTS seems the most likely diagnosis.

Thank you I will write and complain about their scaremongering again... If I wasn't pretty clued up it would be a waste of an ambulanceand A and E visit... totally crazy...

Hi rowan (and Sqad of course) I wake up every morning with numb and tingling hands and forearms due to arthritis in neck. Perhaps I should be phoning 999 every morning!!!

I have it too - usually cos I've been sleeping on my hand.... Or sleeping with my arms thrown above my head.
