Three of the lights in my solar garden lights are not working, I've brought them in and found they have batteries in them and so i have replaced the AA yellow batteries with duracell AAs, what's the worst that can happen and will the sn still charge up these batteries?
I did wonder devilspawn about replacement lights being cheaper than the batteries. I've never changed a battery in solar lights. I've had some for a few years and they still glow acceptably. A solar lamp that was here when I moved in 3 years ago still lights up brightly.
Solar lights can be bought for as little as 89p each.
Dot - when honestly did we get a good summer in the UK? And I mean a GOOD summer? not one that it rained most of the time and you never got your BBQ out let alone let it rust in the rain? Honestly the UK aint set up for Solar stuff - if you had wind powered lights then you may be OK :)
Oh they have worked right through the winter cos they are all two years old, but if they have been running off battery not the sun that makes sense. Why are they called solar lights though if they need a battery?
