How to get cash using my american express card?

I have been off work sick now for a month and im a little short on cash, i have a american express card with £2500 credit limit but doesnt allow me to use it to get out cash. Is there any other way i could somehow use it get cash?

yes, but it involves breaking into houses by sliding the card down between the door and frame unfortunately.

From the American Express (UK) website:
"How do I get cash on my American Express Card?

Provided your account is in good standing we can enable your Express Cash facility which allows you to withdraw cash from an ATM using your card. Please call the number on the back of your card to be enrolled in and learn more about Express Cash. Once enrolled, cash be withdrawn from a range of ATMs throughout the world".

A little short of cash is NOT skint.
Take my advice and do not use it for this. It will cost you very dearly.

I rang the number but credit card companies are less and less allowing people to withdraw cash on the cards do to credit crunch ect

Taking cash on a credit card is an extremely expensive way of laying your hands on some money - why don't you see about a small bank loan instead?
