sickness & diarrhea

I have had 3 bouts of sickness & diarrhea this year and each time I have passed out and fallen off the loo- the last time I broke my leg.

I come round fairly quickly and I'm fine. The 2nd time it happened Granddad grump called the doc but as I was fine by the time she arrived and all vitals were good she didn't know what it was.

Has anyone any ideas?

I have Count -A-Strong but because when I saw him I was fine he didn't seeem unduly bothered He was a locum and looked about 15

maybe a vaso-vagal attack?
or low bp?

Thank you I'll look the vasal thingy up bednobs - my bp is usually ok - and was when the Dr who came out took it after my 2nd attack

Try talking to your own GP, not a locum..if you have broken a bone because of this its serious,

I agree with bednobs.........vomiting and diarrhoea.......irritation of nerve to the heart......slowing of the heart............reduced blood supply to the brain.........pass out.

Not a lot can be done about it........sorry.

Well but sqad, if you know its a risk, you can have a surround on the loo to help stop you falling off and assuming the vaso vagal attack isn't causing the D and V maybe 3 attacks of D and V in one year should be investigated?

The D@V is causing the vasovagal attack, unlikey to be the other way round, but I take your point.

Thank you sqad & woofgang I think the first D&V was caused by a bug and by a process of elimination I think I may be allergic to Crayfish tails (maybe even seafood)

Have had episodes before over the years but v v infrequently I think that this year has just been a bad year. I agree the D&V causes the vaso vagal
