no sound

COULD ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME,
I HAVE LOST THE SOUND TO MY EARPHONES FROM MY COMPUTER,ALL I USE ARE THE EARPHONES,SPEAKERS HAVE BEEN DISCONECTED FOR THE LAST 6 YEARS

I don't use earphones but often lose sound to my speakers. Do you have a volume icon, bottom right of your screen? If so try right clicking it which should give you the option to Open Volume Control. That should indicate if sound has been turned down or off. You may also have a Sound Effect button, which works in a similar way. Good luck.
